Low relaxation propertie of PC Strand provived by relieving the stresses of high carbon, chromium and vanadium alloyed wire rods after cold drawing by a thermomechanical process. In prestressed systems, the pre-tensioning obtained at first decreases over time, in particular due to the relaxation of the tensioned steel over time. For this reason, the low relaxation of the prestressed concrete strand is one of the most important criteria considered in such applications.
