WIRE ROD

WIRE ROD

Wire rod is a semi-finished product which is extruded from steel billet in a steel plant and used primarily for wire production. Wire rod is produced using all modern steelmaking processes, including basic oxygen and electric arc furnace processes. Although wire rod can be produced in various shapes (round, square, hexagonal and rectangular), most of the rolled wire rods are round in cross-section. Wire rods, also referred to as ‘bar in coils’, are of two types: flat and ribbed coil.

USAGE

•Stirrup, miter, bent bar, tie spacer, bored pile reinforcement,
•Wire production
•Wire Mesh Manufacturing
•Nails and concrete wire
•High-strength wire-spring-rope manufacturing
•Bolt-nut-screw manufacturing
•Manufacture of welding wires and electrodes
•Manufacture of prestressed concrete wire
•It is used in the construction of parts that need to withstand impact and abrasion such as discs and milling cutters of agricultural machinery, concrete crushers, etc., and also due to its resistance to fatigue, used in the production of flat springs.
